One day, I too hope not to make the headlines for being the first and only moko kanohi presenting mainstream news in te reo and English to the nation each day/night.

I look forward to there being more Māori, indigenous, and people of all walks of life on screen, on mainstream, representing their cultures, people and telling their stories, their way, through their own lenses.

I see and believe wholeheartedly the world will be a much better place once we accept one another for who we intrinsically are rather than who society wants us and often forces us to be.

Our children and their children deserve a better future. That future depends on us, right here, right now.
